Here is the W-Network links for the 4 episodes that we did in Port Carling, Lake Rosseau, the Bracebridge River cottage, and the Lake Muskoka cottage. The 1st link below will take you to the Port Carling episode where you will see this small little cabin be transformed into a beautiful cottage. Michael and Kelly are torn between selling this little diamond in the ruff for a walk in ready cottage on another smaller lake. After the cottage was completed it was tough to decide to leave Lake Rosseau or stay. Ultimately in the end they did decide to keep the cottage and you will see why when you check out the clip from W-Networks https://www.hgtv.ca/shows/love-it-or-list-it-vacation-homes/videos/michael-kelly-956164675895/ .
The next show was filmed right here in Bracebridge on the Muskoka River. In this episode the owners Brent & Kelly were trying to transform their cottage so that their kids could feel safe and also feel like they are at a cozy cottage. After a major basement renovation and kitchen island expansion the place looked completely different.
Here are the before and after pictures of the Bracebridge cottage, on the W-Network website, so you can get a feel of the transformation that went into this home. https://www.hgtv.ca/shows/love-it-or-list-it-vacation-homes/videos/kelly-brent-964890691767/
The 3rd episode was filmed right at the narrows in Gravenhurst on Lake Muskoka. This was an older 1950's cottage that was still looking like it was in the 1950's. So a major bathroom renovation was done where they added more room to the bathroom and added a walk in shower. The kitchen was completely gutted and replaced to top of the line finishes. The old cedar was painted over in much of the living room and the masterbedroom also went through a change over. This clip with shop you the before and afters. In the end they decided to keep this lovely cottage.
The 4th episode was in the heart of Lake Muskoka. This cottage was too small for the owners who had 4 children and lots of guests. So they added an extension to the living room out towards the lake and raised the ceiling. The kids bedrooms were revamped and given some added room they needed. Of course the kitchen was the biggest improvement, along with a new bathroom. In the basement they created a master bedroom with a bathroom that gave the parents a quiet area to get away. In the end the transformation was overwhelming for the whole family, who couldn't wait to share with all their friends and family. Needless to say, they decided to keep the cottage.
